Moranbah diners aren’t indulged in choice. Like most regional centres, Moranbah’s dining scene is restricted to a few popular local haunts.
The township features a handful of ethnic eateries, with Chinese, Thai, Italian and Indian dishes on the menu. Motels like the Drovers Rest Motel and Moranbah Motor Inn have onsite restaurants. Moranbah’s main street, St Francis Drive is speckled with a few cafes. While familiar fast food outlets, such as Dominos, KFC and Red Rooster can also be found downtown.
Most of Moranbah’s retail activity is centred on the town square and Moranbah Fair, in the heart of downtown Moranbah.
The town square boasts a range of shops, including women’s boutiques, cafes, homewares retailers, jewellers, a newsagent, and sports, furniture and toys stores. While the Fair features a small mix of stores – including Target, Priceline and Coles – and family-friendly facilities.
