Discover Las Vegas

Much more than just a hive of decadent hotels, Vegas is celebrated as the Live Entertainment Capital of the World.

Brash, showy and over-the-top, the neon-lit hedonistic hotspot is renowned as the world’s most sinful yet mesmerizing city.

Appearing out of nowhere, in the middle of the desert, the glittery strip of casinos, nightclubs and wedding chapels is a favourite haunt for gamblers, party-goers and tourists.

Overwhelmingly ostentatious, Vegas catches the eye at every turn. Grand-scale hotels mimic famous landmarks like the Eiffel Tower, the Statue of Liberty and the pyramids. Fountains dance to classical music and choreographed light shows. Billboards the size of swimming pools sell everything from sex to the world-famous entertainment acts. While Elvis impersonators line the streets singing Viva Las Vegas in apt homage.

Made famous by a throng of films and TV shows, casino-resorts are the shining stars of Sin City. Ride a gondola through the waterways of the Venetian. Marvel at the pantheistic statues of Caesar’s Palace. Get caught up in the theatrics of the Treasure Island pirate show. Take in incredible views of Las Vegas Valley from the Stratosphere’s Big Shot thrill ride. Indulge in a carnival-like atmosphere beneath the world’s largest big top at Circus Circus. Or delve into the history of rock ‘n’ roll from the halls of the Hard Rock Hotel.

Much more than just a hive of decadent hotels, Vegas is celebrated as the Live Entertainment Capital of the World. Elton John, Rod Stewart, Donny and Marie, Shania Twain and Cee Lo Green all hold residencies along the Strip. Cirque du Soleil has no less than seven shows showing at once across Sin City. While circuses, light shows, street performers and stage acts abound, with something to appeal to every taste.

When the constant activity of the strip gets too much, a world of exciting drawcards waits just outside the city’s limits. Hire a convertible and cruise into the desert like a movie star. Discover the state of Nevada from the air with a helicopter trip over the Grand Canyon and Hoover Dam. Load up an RV and head west into depths of the brutally beautiful Death Valley. Or set out with the bright lights of LA in sight, on a trip to the Californian coast.
